Catherine has lived in Billesdon since 2006 with her family, husband, three grown-up children and two Golden Retrievers.

Her long and enjoyable career in Nursing included time in Saudi Arabia, and culminated as a Nursing Sister in Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps. She now works as a Learning Support Assistant in an Oadby Primary school, which presented the opportunity to be an Associate School Governor for three years.

From 2012, she was a member of the Billesdon Neighbourhood Planning Group, and in January 2015 was co-opted as a Parish Councillor. She is currently the Vice Chairperson of the Parish Council and also Chairperson of the Billesdon and Rolleston Joint Burials Committee.
